About Pets4Pals: Egypt's pet registry
Pets4Pals is an Egyptian pet registry that started from a simple idea: every dog and cat in Egypt deserves a clear identity and a single medical record that follows it for life, whichever clinic it visits and whoever owns it.
Our idea: one record for every pet
Vaccination cards get lost, pets move between clinics without the new vet knowing their history, and animals are sold with no proof of their health. So we built a registry that links each pet to its microchip number, giving it one medical file that a vet can open with the owner's permission.
What we offer
For pet owners
- A profile for each pet and a registration certificate with a member number.
- One medical record for visits, vaccines and treatments, filled in by member clinics.
- Safe ownership transfer when a pet is sold or rehomed, so the file moves with the pet.
- Lost-pet reports, and a page where anyone who finds a pet can notify the owner using the microchip number.
- An emergency page with first-aid guidance and an AI assistant until you reach a vet.
- A care guide with plain-language articles on diseases, parasites and everyday care.
For vet clinics
- Registering pets and opening their files with the owner's permission.
- Recording visits, vaccinations, diseases and treatments.
- Issuing electronic prescriptions that member pharmacies can dispense.
For pharmacies
- Receiving electronic prescriptions by scanning their QR code, and confirming they come from a member clinic.
For shops and members
- A market for pets, food and supplies where only verified members can post, with in-app messages and tools to report any problem.
Trust and safety
- Identity checks: members verify their identity with their national ID number and a confirmed mobile number, and clinics and pharmacies with their documents, before using services that require it.
- Privacy: an owner's phone number and address are never shown to someone searching by microchip number, and a vet opens a medical file only with the owner's permission. We process data under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law, as explained in our privacy policy (Arabic).
- Moderation: we review listings and content to block abuse and fraud, and any member can report a problem.
- Payments: fees are paid by InstaPay transfer directly from the member's bank; we never receive card or bank account details.
About our care guide articles
We write the care guide in plain Arabic, with an English version, based on widely accepted veterinary guidance, and with Egypt's conditions in mind — such as summer heat and locally common diseases. The articles are general information and do not replace an examination by a vet who knows your pet.
